I have to express how much I loved American Royals! I have always loved anything related to royalty. So, when I saw this book on Goodreads I knew I had to read it. Oh man was I not disappointed. Princess Beatrice, Princess Samantha, Prince Jefferson (Jeff), and Nina were my everything. But Daphne I loath.
The book focuses on the royal family of America, the Washingtons in the present day. For the first time in the history of America, their next monarch was going to be a woman. No pressure or anything.
I like the idea the book chapters revolved around four women with something to do with the monarchy: 2 princesses, 1 friend/lover, and 1 ex revengeful girlfriend. There is no shortage of drama within American Royals! The chapters rotate these perspectives and I never lost interest.

There is also no shortage of romance and love trails. Three sets of star-crossed lovers, and I was rooting for them all! American Royals messed with my heart this way. Ugh, I need so much more and all the answers.
I loved the world-building in this book. We learn who the lords, dukes, and other monarchs in this world are. We also learn about the different kings that have come before and their history. I find all of this fascinating but I guess that is because I am a history buff.

I need so much more of American Royals, and right now! I was super excited to find out there are more books to the series and the fourth book will be coming out in August. I have some catching up to do!
If you like books about royalty or alternative timelines you would probably like this book. If you enjoyed Red, White & Royal Blue or Royals then you will for sure like American Royals.
