From America’s most beloved superstar and #1 New York Times bestselling author James Patterson comes a thriller about a young singer-songwriter on the rise—and on the run—and determined to do whatever it takes to survive.
Every song tells a story.
She’s a star on the rise, singing about the hard life behind her.
She’s also on the run. Find a future, lose a past.
Nashville is where she’s come to claim her destiny. It’s also where the darkness she’s fled might find her. And destroy her.
Run, Rose, Run is a novel glittering with danger and desire—a story that only America’s #1 beloved entertainer and its #1 bestselling author could have created.
As soon as I saw Dolly Parton’s name on Run Rose Run, I knew I had to read it. From the first chapter, the reader is thrust into the world in which AnnieLee lives. There is a fair amount of action, drama, and even a love story.
“Because books, my friends, are true magic bound between two covers.”
Dolly Parton, Run Rose Run
Run Rose Run has a little something for everyone. While reading I can defiantly see where Dolly Parton’s influence comes through especially with the character of Ruthanna. Ruthanna is the queen of country and in retirement when she stumbles upon AnnieLee and wants to help her succeed in the world of country music.
“Don’t ever be late. It’s like proclaiming that your time is more important than someone else’s.”
Dolly Patron, Run Rose Run
Run Rose Run was a medium-paced book that kept my attention and made me want to know what would happen next. I liked that the chapters were short, making finding a place to pauce easier.
“I like you. And that’s not something I say very often.”
Dolly Parton, Run Rose Run
This would have been a five-star rating had the ending not been lacking. If you are looking for a mystery novel and love Dolly Parton then this book is for you!
